Why isn’t My Gate Code Working?

Make sure you’re entering your code correctly. Enter an (*), followed by your unique numerical code, and then (#).

Keep in mind that gate codes do not work outside of gate access hours and are disabled on delinquent and restricted accounts.

There Are Several Reasons Why Your Gate Code May Not Be Working:

  • Your most recent payment hasn't posted, and your account is considered delinquent.
  • You may be attempting to enter the facility outside of access hours.
  • Your gate code may be restricted.
  • If you are a new customer, you may need to head to your facility office to present your government-issued ID.
  • You may be entering your gate code incorrectly. Make sure you are entering an (*), your unique code, and then (#).

If Your App is Not Opening the Gate:

If you’re unable to open the gate with your Public Storage App, try deleting the App and reinstalling it.
